Comments: Thank you Michael/supporting staff for educating both the professional world and future patient care. I was once a victim of domestic violence. It took 2 years to leave the relationship and so many years to recover physically and mentally. As healthcare professionals, we must allow ourselves the necessary time---both assessing and developing trust/relations with our patients!!!! We are so many times the only eyes, ears, and voices our patients have. Also our elderly--nursing home and private care is growing concern for abuse!!! I beleive an entire course on elder/geriatric abuse would be a success and appreciated!!! thank you again, Rebecca-OTR
